I attended the amazingly popular FLTA Potluck this past Wednesday during IEW. Among many others, I met an FLTA from Algeria who I got to chat with. Amira was super interesting and shared a lot about the food that she had cooked and the cultural concepts that they represented. I found it interesting that she’s a Fulbright awardee from another country and learned that her arrangement requires her to do things like talk about her country to elementary school students in the region.
